ALUMINUM: A VERSATILE MATERIAL
Our industry’s aluminum beverage cans are 100% recyclable. In fact, they are made to be remade and can be recycled over and over again, forever. When an aluminum can is recycled, it can return to store shelves in as little as 60 days.
The aluminum can is one of the most recycled consumer product packages on the market today, which saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. When recycled, it reduces the energy required to produce new aluminum by as much as 95%.
ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF RECYCLING ALUMINUM
The 46.7 billion aluminum beverage cans recycled in the United States in 2020 generated over $700 million in the economy.
